Esports data and technology company Abios has announced a partnership with Swedish mobile games, sports betting and online casino service provider LeoVegas Group.
The partnership gives LeoVegas Group access to Abios’ widgets across its website and apps “to facilitate more user engagement with their esports offerings,” according to the release.
Linus Norman, Key Account Manager at Abios commented: “We are seeing a great demand and growth in esports betting. LeoVegas is offering a great player experience and we are proud to be able to help and leverage our products to enhance their offering further.”
The release stated that the widget integration project began as a pilot in select esports markets. Following a joint-evaluation with LeoVegas, Abios developed customised and responsive widgets across LeoVegas’ products and brands such as bet.uk and bet21 to help customers make informed decisions across the 20+ esports markets Abios’s API offers.
The widgets aim to improve the user experience by showing the user pre-match data, for example: expected rosters, most picked and banned champions, win-rates for certain maps and more.
The widgets update in real-time when the match goes live, allowing users to track available statistics — live and historical — during the entirety of the match directly on the LeoVegas site.
Christian Polsäter. Director of Sports at LeoVegas said, “Esports is growing in popularity for us and we are very happy to improve our customer experience by providing engaging content and useful statistics.”
Esports Insider says: The acquisition of Abios by Kambi Group last week has seen a quick first activation, playing on the renewed partnership between Kambi Group and LeoVegas Group signed in August 2020. It looks like Abios is set to be a great asset for the sportsbook and its partners to activate into esports betting using its widgets.
