Learn everything you need to know about the J Balvin Cup for a chance to win a free skin, pickaxe and back bling.
Colombian singer José Álvaro Osorio Balvín, better known as J Balvin, is the newest addition to Fortnite’s growing ICON Series. Several high-profile celebrities; including Fortnite icon Tyler “Ninja” Blevins, Travis Scott, Ariana Grande, and more, have already etched themselves in the ICON Series over the last few years. We can safely add another marquee name to the list.
J Balvin’s in-game appearance leaked last week and Epic has made the collaboration official. The Colombian superstar’s Fortnite will hit the Item Shop on August 26. However, the developers are hosting the J Balvin Cup, where players can win the singer’s cosmetic outfit and back bling for free. Format & Schedule
Epic Games will continue the trend of free skin tournaments under the duo format. That means teams of two are eligible to play for a chance to win free in-game prizes. The overall goal for competitors is to earn points based on eliminations and placement points.
Here is the complete J Balvin Cup format:
- The tournament begins on August 26
- Three-hour session
- A maximum of ten matches
- The highest point-earning duos per region will win the J Balvin base outfit, pickaxe and back bling
How to Register
Players must apply two-factor authentication (2FA) and have a level 30 or above account to qualify for this tournament. There are no required Arena Mode ranks to compete, so it’s essentially open to competitors of all skill levels.
