Earlier this month, Hive (under the Korean company Vespa) announced an officially licensed new entry in SEGA’s Shining Force series in the form of Shining Force: Heroes of Light and Darkness. Shining Force: Heroes of Light and Darkness is a free to play mobile game aiming to bring the fun of tactical RPGs to mobile. When it was announced, we didn’t have any gameplay or visual details for the release. Today, Vespa revealed the first gameplay trailer for Shining Force: Heroes of Light and Darkness. This trailer (and a few screenshots via 4gamer.net) looks great. It has new protagonists and features some returning characters. The gameplay and battles look excellent. Watch the first trailer for Shining Force: Heroes of Light and Darkness below:

As mentioned before, Shining Force: Heroes of Light and Darkness is aiming to have a worldwide release in the first half of 2022. The licensing rights include North America, Japan, South Korea, Europe, and other Asian countries but a full list of supported regions for this release haven’t been announced as of this writing. I’m looking forward to learning more about Shining Force: Heroes of Light and Darkness and hopefully the monetisation isn’t too bad.
