Malachi “Reverse2k” Greiner announced on stream yesterday evening that he will embark on a new journey with budding esports organization, Team New Age.

Some will recognize Reverse2k for the time he has put in over the last three years of competitive Fortnite. His first documented tournament took place in July of 2018, where he and popular Fortnite content creator Daequan “Daequan” Loco of Team SoloMid teamed up for week three of the Summer Skirmish. Reverse2k and Daequan finished in 16th place out of 48 duos, pocketing $3K USD each. The rest, as they say, is history. Reverse2k recently parted ways with Team SoloMid after spending a year with the popular esports organization. The former Fortnite World Cup Solo finalist hit free-agency and drew the attention of an organization new to the scene.

Reverse2k Organization Announcement

The 19-year-old teased his new organization in late-July with a Twitter post. Nearly two months later, the announcement is official. Reverse2k has signed with Team New Age. In typical Fortnite fashion, Team New Age compiled some of Reverse2k’s most impressive clips of the past three years in a short YouTube video. One of which included Reveres2k’s long-time duo partner and gaming superstar Tyler “Ninja” Blevins. Reverse2k and Ninja became an underdog story a year ago, where the two nearly qualified for the Fortnite World Cup Duos event. Unfortunately, Reverse2k and Ninja split, but not before shattering the duos win record. A three-time Fortnite Champion Series (FNCS) Finalist, Reverse2k finally found himself an organization, which looks to offer much more than a fancy logo and some eye-popping apparel.

What is Team New Age?

Co-founded by CEO Aaron Kirshenberg, CFO Joaquin Delmar and CTO Shin Mitsuno, this organization promises to “assemble a team of extraordinary individuals and shock the world”. Initially established in June of this year, Team New Age recently underwent a re-branding process. The organization changed its color scheme, looking to set themselves apart from the other brands in the esports stratosphere. Now, they have added one of Fortnite’s longest-running success stories in Reverse2k.

As a bonus, Team New Age acquired a mansion in Virginia. Here, many Fortnite players move to play on zero ping and better their chances of winning tournaments. Other players under Team New Age include NA East player OliverOG and NA West player Slick. We expect all three players to move into the Team New Age zero ping mansion, possibly with others in the future. Reverse2k will look to achieve his first major tournament victory under Team New Age.
