Ukrainian esports organisation Natus Vincere (NAVI) has announced a three-year partnership with cryptocurrency trading platform Bybit.
As a result, the platform has become the official cryptocurrency partner of the organisation.
The deal marks Bybit’s entrance into the esports industry. As the organisation’s official cryptocurrency partner, the platform’s logo will appear on NAVI’s jerseys. Moreover, the two parties will collaborate on a number of activations including anti-bullying campaigns.
Alexander ‘nervo-‘ Pavlenko, Chief Marketing Officer at NAVI, spoke on the deal in a release: “We’re proud to be a part of Bybit’s global strategy of their integration into the esports world. Even more, it’s a great honour to become their first partner in our sphere worldwide.
“We shall strive to show esports fans the real value of digital-based communication by cryptocurrency platform Bybit and our team. We hope to bring new game-changing and engaging projects to make esports the better place to play together.”
Bybit is the ninth partner of NAVI, joining the likes of PUMA, gaming chair manufacturer AndaSeat, online bookmaker GG.Bet, and energy drinks brand Monster Energy.
Ben Zhou, Co-founder and CEO of Bybit, also commented: “We are delighted to connect with one of the most iconic names in esports that provided 86.1m hours of thrilling entertainment to audiences worldwide in 2020.
“As one of the fastest-growing start-ups built for crypto lovers, we are excited to sign on with NAVI, and are looking forward to unleashing the natural synergy between the crypto community and the athletes and creators in esports.”
Esports Insider says: The trend of cryptocurrency exchanges entering esports shows no signs of slowing down as Bybit becomes the latest platform to make its move. For NAVI, it’s another impressive addition to its partnership roster and depending on the success of the deal, it could lead to more deals of a similar nature taking place with other organisations.
