Ever since Valve brought Steam Link (Free) to iOS following a long period of uncertainty, it has been updated quite a bit with useful features and enhancements. These updates have added full keyboard and mouse gameplay, rumble for controllers, and more recently PS5 DualSense and Xbox Series X controller support. Today, Steam Link has been updated to support the new iPad mini and to allow for streaming from Windows 11. I’m not updating to Windows 11 anytime soon, but it is good to see Valve bring in support this early. The Android app has also been updated to support streaming from Windows 11 if you use it there. Check out a screenshot of Ys IX: Monstrum Nox through Steam Link on iPad below:

It is great to see Valve update the app to bring in new features and support for new software this quickly. If you’ve not tried Steam Link yet, you can download the app on iOS here and on Android here. If you missed our initial hands on with Steam Link, check it out here. If you’re on iOS 14.5 or later, here’s my new controller buying guide covering the PS4, Xbox One, PS5, and Xbox Series X controllers and whether you should upgrade to a better controller to play on iPad or iPhone. Have you used Steam Link recently and what controller do you use when you stream games on iOS or iPadOS?
